Check it out!

Sunlit Afternoon

I’m so pleased and proud to announce that my work is being featured on Chris Beck’s watercolor blog:  http://brush-paper-water.blogspot.com starting today.

Chris Beck is a San Francisco area watercolorist and a signature member of both the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and Watercolor West.  In her blog, she features a new watercolor artist every other week, letting people from all over the world see work that they would otherwise be unaware of.  It’s a real honor to be included in this showcase of fine watercolor art.

Please take some time and check it out.

Thanks!

Stunning work. Leaves me with so many questions on your technique. I hope you get asked by Northlight Books to write one! I live in Sarasota Florida and you don’t seem to make it this far in your workshops, so a book would be great.

I found you through Chris’s Brush-Paper-Water blog. What a treat, I’m so glad she featured you! I’ve put you on my RSS list, look forward to seeing more!

Your work is unbelievable. “Nestled” is just gorgeous.
I, too, love to glaze, but use tons of colors. Think I’ll try with a limited palette – and hope to achieve something remotely close to the light and warmth you achieve. You are now on my list of “amazing artists”!

    Thanks Deb,
    Yes! Try it.
With my method it works so well to limit the palette.
I usually pick three colors to start a painting and I may expand my choices as I continue painting. I use staining transparent colors.
I’m working on adding a tutorial page to demonstrate my technique for my students and people who are wondering about it.
