International Artist Magazine runs a competition every two months.  My painting “Rose Cup” is one of 10 finalists in the Still Life/Floral competition in the October/November issue.  My friend/student Karen Baugh encouraged me to enter.  Thanks Karen!

On September 21st I will begin teaching a new six-week watercolor session at the School of Light and Color.  Subject matter is open.  The artist gets to choose!  I will be doing a watercolor demonstration at each class, teaching watercolor techniques and showing students how to paint various types subject matter.

Jeannie Vodden Portrait Workshop

For Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County (WASCO):

While I’m in Sonoma I’ll be judging the Aqua Areas Fall Art Show for WASCO…  And doing a demonstration on Saturday, September 11.

I’ll be attending the reception and awards presentation for the art show on Sunday evening, as well.

I’ll post pictures when I get home.  I’m looking forward to visiting, teaching and seeing the artwork, which looks to be really wonderful!
