It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over! I hope you had a good one.
I just returned from a wonderful trip to Montana to visit my sister and her husband, and to take our annual girls’ trip to the amazing Yellowstone National Park.
My sister, Sue is quickly becoming a Yellowstone expert. She goes as often as she possibly can. She enjoys going with different people and at different times of year. What beautiful scenery we saw. What an amazing spot in the world. Here are a couple of pictures from our trip.
Time away from home can be refreshing… it was for me.

Fall Watercolor Classes at University Art

“In Love with Watercolor Portraits!” (for anyone interested in portraits)
This class will provide an opportunity to work on a portrait using your own resource photo. I’ll demonstrate painting the features of the face, hair and background techniques and color schemes. Lectures and demos will include conceptual ideas, drawing and working through the painting process, to achieve a successful portrait.

“Transparent Layers in Watercolor” (for beginning – advanced painters)
Here you will find inspiration, motivation and information to improve your watercolor skills.
Leave behind the troubles of the world to find a space in which the most important thing is painting. My goal is to motivate you to be excited about painting, and to help you on your way to achieving your own unique style and subject matter.
I will work on a painting or a small study in class. I will be demonstrating my watercolor techniques and helping you understand watercolor properties and color mixing, as well as providing individual attention to each and every artist.
